“She’s sensitive to music’s subtleties and amplifies them through her movement. Aryanna moves with precise abandon. She takes up the whole studio as she dances, but it’s about fulfilling the movement, not demanding attention. She can be liquid and mercurial or driven by line and efficiency.” -Gregory Catellier

Aryanna Allen — particularly in her solo, “ii. The Longing,” and a pas de deux with Britanie Leland, “v. The Falling” — stole the show with her grace. In one memorable repeated phrase from “v. The Falling,” Allen and Leland mirrored one another through a series of melting falls that took them from kneeling, through a fetal position and back up to their knees, over and over, until it finally took them offstage… Aryanna Allen was a standout in her solo “ii. The Longing.”
–Robin Wharton about Monica Hogan’s, counterpoint, 2023
Aryanna Allen and Emma Morris were two dancers that stood out. I was drawn to the stature of Allen’s presence… her movements heightened like a garland of ivy vines gliding in the wind.
-Kiera Baity about Patsy Collins’, subzero, 2023
The 90-minute performance closed with Jordan Ryder’s Garage. It featured dynamic contact among the seven dancers: for instance, holding hands in an uneven, tensile circle, or one dancer being lifted gently by the others. Aryanna Allen was a standout in this and dreamBOY.
-Gillian Renault about Garage & DreamBOY, 2022
